These pants are made with Osnaburg cotton fabric and corduroy patch strips added to the sides and hems of the superwide pant legs. This Osnaburg muslin is a medium-weight coarsely woven cotton which has a very natural and homespun look. Both new and upcycled fabrics were used for the strips, and a sturdy grey corduroy protects the hems of the pants.

I have worn these pants many times, and I always get a TON of compliments when I do! These pants are in excellent condition as far as the integrity of the cotton and the strength of the cord patches and stitching. However, the lower parts of the pant legs do have a dull grey discoloring from me having worn these last summer (2009) at some rainy Phish shows in Wantagh, N.Y. ~~~not really a big deal if you're into the whole dirty hippie thing (like I am! :) Furthermore, some of the color from a patch or two of the corduroy bled into the neighboring Osnaburg. Again, not huge problem, but I just thought I'd put it out there~~

All the seams are all double-stitched and over-edged to prevent fraying and ensure longevity. There is a small patch pocket on the front of the pants and there is also a *hidden stash* in the front of the pants. These pants have only been worn many times and they are in very good condition!
