These pants are so sweet! I was commissioned not so long ago to make my friend a pair of pants with diamonds and green fur; hence my inspiration for these awesome wears! The fabric is mostly recycled corduroy scraps, blended together in a mix of gold, green, brown, beige, purple, and blue to incite feelings of randomness and kindness (my favorites!). Also, you’ll see in the close-up pics, a cotton velveteen of stripes of deep blue and accents of the same tones throughout the corduroy patches.
These pants have 4 pockets total… 2 side seam deep, phatty pockets, one flannel lined back patch pocket on the right with more fur trim, and the essential hidden stash inside in the front. All the seams are double-stitched for longevity and all the fabric is over-edged to prevent fraying. Surely, these are meant to last through many washings and wearings; they’re made with much care and love!
Measurements:
Be sure to note the pictures… the decorative stitching runs along both sides of the fake fur along the side seam, then again along the edge of the front pockets, and beneath the casing for the drawstring waist, ensuring maximum durability and peace of mind, not to mention a li’l some-some for those into everything fancy : ) The drawstring waist fits larger sizes, while the length as is would work on someone taller. However, it would be no problem what-so-ever to hem or lengthen the pants for free!
