There is so much going on in this dress! The checkered rectangle patches are salvaged from a quilt-top I found in a vintage shop... I recrafted those hastily sewn fabrics into the sweet, high quality, beauty you see here! The found fabrics are a mix of Asian-themed prints and brocades along with some gabardine polyester solids. To this I added complimentary cottons and corduroys from my stash focusing on burgandy and rusty orange for boldness, and greys and greens for grounding stability. It's hard to see in the photos, but the butterfly print and the red and orange solids in the back are thin-wale corduroys and the bodice is a medium wale corduroy.

This dress is in excellent condition and has only been worn in the photos. All the fabric is either over-edged and double-stitched or it is serged with an 4-thread overlock machine. This all prevents fraying and also ensures longevity.

The bodice is fully lined for comfort and it is also darted to provide support and shape for your bust. The drawstring at the lower back allows you to cinch the waist to your exact size, and the adjustable straps make this dress a great fit for small-to-medium sizes.
